For the 100th anniversary of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, S.C., HBS Member and Proud Marine Mom (of 2) Vicki Backer volunteered to put together this quilt. She not only sewed the blocks together, but added sashing and quilted it in under 7 days!

It now hangs in the Visitors' Center at Parris Island, S.C.
